Paparoa Street School is proud to promote ICT as part of a recent ‘Teaching & Learning’ contract, Te Papanui. Every class has been involved in thinking & learning using ICT as one of the many ways to challenge the mind!

Teachers are implementing Tony Ryan’s Thinkers Keys, De Bono’s Thinking Hats, graphic organisers, 7 Servants to name but a few. Students are thinking creatively to produce IMovies, digital storybooks, spreadsheets, Powerpoint presentations of reflections, thoughts, ideas and opinions.

Our ‘journey’ has just begun, with our staff more confident & up-skilled, and our Board of Trustees supporting our dreams and wish lists.

We believe that the needs of the individual child are paramount and that classroom programmes should challenge each learner to achieve his or her potential at a pace with which they feel comfortable.
